the Jiangsu Key Lab of Adv. Cat. Mater. & Tech.

      The lab was founded in July, 2012, approved by the Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Province.

      Being supported by the Priority Academic Program of Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions, the lab cooperates with Changmao Biochemical Engineering Co. Ltd. and focuses on resolving the key problems existing in the field of green catalytic materials and technology. Innovative basic research for application is being carried out to meet the challenges appeared during the transformation and upgrade of chemical engineering industry. The lab is aiming at being developed to be a nationwide advanced research center and training center for advanced talents concerning industrial catalysis.
     Modern advanced analytical instruments, such as NMR spectrometer, X-ray diffractometer, Single-crystal X-rayDiffraction, and experimental devices have been equipped in the lab in a space around 5000 m2 to characterize the microstructure of catalytic materials and test the properties of the catalysts.
     Researchers in this lab have won many awards for science and technology progress in industrial catalysis, including two national-level second prizes, four provincial-level first prizes, and over 10 provincial-level second prizes. Over 60 provincial-level projects have been granted, more than 60 patents have been licensed and over 300 papers have been indexed by SCI or EI.
     One research interest of the lab is surface and interface modification of catalytic materials, involving the synthesis of highly dispersed thin shell catalytic materials, the design and controllable synthesis of graphene-based inorganic particle catalysts and the design of functional polymer and membrane catalytic materials and its structure-activity relationship.
     The other research interest of the lab is green catalysis technology, involving the exploitation of high performance transition metal catalytic system with low toxicity, new mesoporous catalytic materials and cleaner production technology, and technology of bio-enzyme engineering.
